Abstract: Guidance and Counseling Teachers (GACTs) play a crucial role in nurturing students' growth and well-being in primary and secondary schools in Malaysia. Yet, they face various stressors that can affect both their professional effectiveness and personal welfare. This review highlights six main individual stress factors (ISFs) that pose significant challenges for GACTs: role conflict, role overload, role ambiguity, harassment, responsibility for people, and the pace of change. By acknowledging these stressors, educational institutions can create targeted support systems. These interventions can improve the well-being of GACTs, enhance the quality of counseling services they provide, and ultimately benefit the entire school community at both primary and secondary levels.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine staff’s perceptions of the issues and challenges faced by private higher education institutions (PHEIs) in Malaysia. The sample consisted of 54 lecturers recruited from five PHEIs in Sabah and Sarawak who completed a questionnaire online. Responses were automatically transferred onto a spreadsheet and SPSS 26.0 was subsequently used to test for significant differences as well as calculate the percentages of agreement. Mann-Whitney U test revealed that there were no significant gender differences in lecturers’ perceptions of the issues and challenges faced by Malaysian PHEIs while Kurskal-Wallis H test indicated no significant differences in relation to age and job experience. Findings implied that Malaysian PHEIs tend to experience several issues and challenges.  To overcome them, the management of PHEIs needs to take several measures to increase their sustainability.  In light of the findings, some recommendations were made on how PHEIs could overcome various issues and challenges to remain sustainable.

Abstract: A field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of mineral fertilizers on the growth, yield and yield parameters for durum wheat in the Karaganda region of central Kazakhstan. The experiment was a 10×3 factorial fitted into a complete randomized design, and treatments replicated three times. The treatments consisted of a control plot, with sole and combined Nitrogen (ammonium nitrate) and phosphorus (Ammophos) fertilizers (N₃₀, N₆₀), (P₉₀, P₁₂₀, P₁₅₀, P₁₈₀) and (P₉₀N₃₀, P₁₂₀N₆₀, P₁₂₀N₉₀) respectively. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was carried out on soil and plant data, and their means separated using turkey t-test, while a spearman rho correlation analysis was done to show the relationship between growth, yield and yield. The results obtained showed that mineral fertilizers had significant impact on growth and yield of durum wheat. Though sole application of P and combined N x P had an impact on growth of durum wheat, this effect was not significant (p>0.05). similarly, mean yield attributes were not significantly affected by mineral fertilizers except for grain yield. The highest grain yield was found for P₁₂₀ (8.86 c/ha), followed by P₉₀N₃₀ (8.76 c/ha) and P₉₀ (8.63 c/ha) while for N-N₆₀ (8.06 c/ha). Spike length strongly correlated with plant height (0.952***), grain yield significantly correlated with root length (0.689*) and 1000-weight grain (0.709*), number of grains positively correlated with plant height (0.806*) and spike length (0.806*) while grain weight significantly correlated with plant weight (0.640*) and spike weight (0.706*). Harvest index however was highest for N₆₀ (9.14%) and P₉₀ (8.30%) indicating higher proportion conversion of plant total biomass into grain. Thus, the sole application of these fertilizers is recommended.

Abstract: Public-Private Partnership can mobilize private sector investment and expertise to provide much-needed infrastructure and public services. It can transform government departments and contracting authorities from being owners and operators of assets into knowledgeable purchasers of services from the private sector. The current study adopted a descriptive survey research design using quantitative methods to examine the effect of contract management on the performance of Kigali Logistics Platform, a PPP project between the government of Rwanda and DP World. The study showed that there is a positive relationship between contract management practices and PPP project performance on correlation coefficient of 0.875** and tailed p-value of 0.000 which is less than 0.05 showing a significant relationship between contract management practices and the performance of PPP project. The objective of the study was to assess the correlation between contact negotiation, contract implementation, contract monitoring, stakeholder participation in contract decision making and PPP project performance at Kigali Logistics Platform. The findings of study revealed that contract negotiation practices have great impact on the performance of PPP project (mean=4.0). There is a positive relationship between contract negotiation practices and the performance of PPP project on correlation coefficient of 0.816**   and tailed p-value of 0.000. It was found that contract implementation significantly affects the performance of PPP projects (mean= 4.08). The study found a positive relationship between contract implementation practices and performance of PPP project on correlation coefficient of 0.941**and tailed p-value of 0.000. Findings of the study also show that stakeholder participation in contract decision making greatly influences the performance of PPP project (mean= 3.79). There is a positive relationship between stakeholder participation and the performance of PPP project on correlation coefficient of 0.763**and tailed p-value of 0.002. Lastly it was found that contract monitoring and control practices have great influence on the performance of PPP project (mean= 3.8). The findings revealed that there is a positive relationship between contract monitoring and control practices and performance of PPP project on correlation coefficient of 0.867**and tailed p-value of 0.001. The results of this research would be useful to different individuals involved in the PPP contract management and other future researchers interested in the field of PPP contract management practices and project performance.
