Abstract:The purpose of this study was to determine the significant influence of social skills to the self-concept of students. This study also aimed to determine which domains of social skills significantly influence the self-concept of students. This study utilized a non-experimental quantitative research design utilizing descriptive-correlational technique. Research instruments on social skills and self-concept of the students were used as sources of data. Utilizing Pearson r, this study found out that the indicators of social skills and learning self-concept of students are significantly correlated. Using regression, it was found out that the social skills of the students significantly influenced their self-concept.

Abstract: Chipko movement is an important movement in the field of environmental movement in India. The first chipko movement in India began in Rajasthan in 1730 AD. Then another chipko movement took place in Uttarakhand in 1973 AD. Sundarlal bahuguna and Chandi Prasad Bhatt was thought to be the leader of this movement. Gouri Devi was also another prominent leader of the movement. In this article I will discuss the role of Gouri Devi of the chipko movement in the year 1973 AD. How did she manage the movement? How she managed to save the jungle despite all the obstacles from government and contractors. Gouri Devi made movement popular worldwide because of her talent.

Abstract:The exploration of identity construction has always been a hot issue in social sciences. In pragmatics, the need to probe into the issue stems mainly from the desire to equip individuals with the necessary pragmatic knowledge to handle social interaction in various social contexts. The lack of consensus regarding how identity works in work settings in addition to the changes these workplaces have been witnessing due to globalization and technological advancement made the call to explore the issue of identity construction in workplaces more urgent than before. The present paper is an attempt to answer this call by trying to provide a plausible understanding of the concept. Based on the revised literature, the issue of identity construction in workplaces is better seen as a process of constant judging of oneself and others in interaction. These judgments are guided by the premise to bring profit and development for individuals and they also form the basis for attitudes, positions, roles, and values opted for by interlocutors in interaction.  Hopefully, this exploration will help first solve the disagreement among researchers regarding how identity works in work settings and second, contribute to raising awareness of the importance of pragmatics knowledge in dealing with the challenges brought by globalization and advancement in technology.

Abstract:A Project management Knowledge Area represents a complete set of concepts, terms, and activities that make up a project management field. Project Management Knowledge Areas include: Project Integration Management; Project Scope Management; Project Time Management; Project Cost Management; Project Quality Management; Project Human Resource Management; Project Communications Management; Project Risk Management; Project Procurement Management; and Project Stakeholder Management. Therefore, Project Management Knowledge Areas are used on most projects most of the time to achieve project success. To this effect, project teams should be able to understand and utilize Project Management Knowledge Areas appropriately, according to specific projects. However, studies have revealed that despite Project teams utilizing Project Management Knowledge Areas, project failure occurs, thereby not achieving project success. The general objective of the study was evaluating the effectiveness of the Project Management Knowledge Areas in achieving project success and the study sought to answer the general research question on: How effective were the Project Management Areas in achieving project success?
Pragmatism was the philosophical view that underpinned that informed the mixed research method approach used. The convergent parallel strategy of the mixed research methods approach was used. The total population was forty (40) Managers from active Non-Governmental Organizations and Twenty-nine (29) were selected as a sample size, using purposive sampling method. Qualitative data was analyzed by using the inductive process of building from the data to broad themes and then to interpretation. Quantitative data was analysed by using descriptive statistics. Findings revealed that most of the respondents indicated agreement to the application of Project Management Knowledge Areas within the organization, except one Project Management Knowledge Area (Project Time Management) where the majority indicated disagreement. Further, all the respondents acknowledged that they had good competence in the understanding and application of the Management Knowledge Areas within their organizations. Subsequently, most of the respondents indicated agreement with regards to the application of Project Management Knowledge Areas in the communities where projects were implemented in order to achieve Project Success, except one Project Management Knowledge Area (Project Risk Management) where most respondents were undecided. The study concluded that Project Management Knowledge Areas were effective in achieving project success.

Abstract:Since the years of 1960s to date; the relationship between Job Satisfaction and Organizational Performance more specifically Employee’s Performance have had been a matter of concern among scholars, researchers, managers and business practitioners. Since the subject matter is viable in various industries at different contexts; this study features educational industry by considering the educators of higher education in Malaysia. The study collected Data used primary data obtained from UUM: one of reputable institution in Malaysia and used to test the three predictor variables of Job Satisfaction thus the Role of Job Tension, the Role of Job Clarity and the role of Job Conflict aligned with the linking variable Empathy. This study confirmed that Empathy to stand as an originator of Job Satisfaction hence the main determinant of Job Satisfaction.

Abstract:This study aimed to determine the perception of the community on the determinants of prostitution in San Pablo City, Laguna. The Study instigated the profile of respondents as to the a) age, b) gender, and c) educational attainment. It also determined the contributory factors that led a person to engage in prostitution in terms of economic status, educational factors, and Exploitation.
The research objective and the hypothesis were formulated based on the study constructs. A standard questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents who were identified using the purposive sampling technique. Both quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed. Statistically, quantitative data was analyzed using inferential statistics. Frequency distribution, percentage, rank, and F-test were utilized to determine the level of contributory factors that leads a person into prostitution.
The following are the salient findings of the study that as to the respondents, the overall respondents of the study are sixty (60). The contributory factors that lead a person into prostitution, economic status with a general mean of 3.20 while educational factors with an overall mean of 3.17 and exploitation with an average weighted mean of 3.06. All these variables or indicators of this study appeared to be interpreted as “Agree” or “As what is expected.”
Based on the study, it is concluded that in the perception of the community on the determinants of prostitution in San Pablo City, Laguna that in terms of educational factors, economic, and exploitation affect an individual to engage in prostitution. It signifies that these three (3) variables are the most causative factors that lead a person into prostitution but the most grudge the respondents to engage prostitution is the economical because of poverty, lack of financial support on their livings that resulted also on their deprivation to continue to undergo education,  and because they were deceived and exploited in this job.
