Abstract: High–quality primary health care services are the outcome of strong service delivery and the result of well-organized and achieved services, supported by a strong system and sufficient inputs, such as human resources, infrastructure, drugs, and supplies. The aim of the study is to assess the quality of PHC services in family health centers in El-Behira Governorate. Material and Methods: Research design: Descriptive research design will be used to conduct this study. Setting: The study will be conducted in governmental family health centers in El-Behira governorate affiliated with the Ministry of Health. Subjects: The subjects of the present study will be all the nurses (347) working in studied family health centers. Sampling: A multistage sampling technique will be used to select the required sample. Tools: two tools were used. Tool (I): Nurses' quality knowledge and perspective structured questionnaire sheet. Tool (Π): Quality of Primary Health Care Services Evaluation. Results: the vast majority of the nurses in Damanhour, Etay EL-Baroad, Abo-Homos were females. More than two thirds (68.6%) of the nurses in Damanhour FHC compared to less than two thirds of the nurses in Etay El-Baroad and Abo-Homos (66.4% and 64.3% respectively) and half (54.3%) of them in El-Rahmanya had a secondary school of nursing diploma. Among nurses with low perspectives, 3.2% of them had poor knowledge about quality compared to none of those with high perspectives. The Family Health Centers had the highest process mean score related to provision of services especially for maternity care, family planning services and childcare. While the total clinics' process is unsatisfactory for essential drugs. Conclusion: Based on the findings of the present study, it can be concluded that none of the studied family health centers in all districts studied had a high total quality level. A significant relation was found between nurses’ mean score of knowledge and their perspective levels related to quality of services and socio-demographic characteristics related to previous training and frequency of training. The Family Health Centers had the highest process mean score related to provision of services especially for maternity care, family planning services and childcare. Recommendations: The predominant policy recommendation is that the Egyptian Ministry of Health needs to improve the budget allocation for primary health care units and centers as it is the entrance keeper to secondary and tertiary health care. It is equally important to maintain the support policy for primary health care services in order to meet the restricted affordability of low-income people who would fight to get health care if the prices of examination and medication would be increased.

Abstract: The Emerald Tablets of Thoth are a fascinating read for many but can be difficult to fully comprehend. When studying the chakra system in relation to cosmic power, the first seven chakras correspond to the nervous system and are discussed in the text. The three major protocols outlined in the text can be understood and learned through Buddhist and Taoist meditation practices. The meditation of one's mind refers to achieving absorption level 4, or Jhana 4. In the Emerald Tablets of Thoth, the sun is referred to as the father, the moon as the mother, the wind as the carrier to the belly, and the earth as the nurse. These principles refer to the connection between the yang and yin energies in the world through the chakra system. The separation of Earth from Heaven and Heaven from Earth corresponds to above and below, respectively. This describes the principles of the exchange of natural energy from the sky and the ground, which is then integrated into the mind and body through the cycling pathway of the Chakra system. Therefore, the Thrice of the Greatest Hermes serves as the protocol for achieving the highest cosmic power through meditation. By practicing Anapanasati, one can reach absorption level 4 and attain mastery over the natural energy pathways, following the Taoist principles. This study aims to describe the methodology outlined in the Emerald Tablets of Thoth and the first report for achieving the highest levels of cosmic power.

Abstract: The purpose of studying the cosmic power in the spiritual life protocol using the Buddhist meditation approach is to understand the interplay between the seven chakras and the transfer and exchange of energy between the human body and the environment. The chakras serve as the main funnel for this energy exchange. This connection is commonly referred to as the mind-body connection and is related to psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), which involves the immune, nervous, and stress systems. Although the seven Chakras have widely recognized, their precise locations are not well-established in most studies and not easy to growth and energy controlled. The Chakras 1-7 were found to be positioned in the body cavity and directly related to the nervous system, with only Chakra 1 and Chakra 2 emitting red and orange light at the start of meditation, which later changed to white light upon reaching meditation absorption level 4.Overall, the Buddhism meditation method, Anapanasati practice, proved useful in Chakras development and the relationship of Chakras system, Nervous system and the Caduceus symbol were presented.

Abstract: Background: Mindfulness is a psychological and coping strategy used to adjust maladaptive behaviors such as internet gaming addictive behavior and improve awareness and reduce stress, anxiety and depression. Aim of the study: Evaluate the effect of mindfulness training program on internet gaming addictive behavior among university students. Research design: Quasi-experimental research design with pre-post assessment was used.  Setting: The study was conducted at Suez Canal university- Ismailia city in a randomly selected six faculties divided in to two medical, two practical and two theoretical faculties. Sample: A systematic random sample of 203 university students were selected in this study. Tools for data collection: Data was collected using five tools namely; knowledge about internet gaming, video game usage questionnaire, game addiction scale, problematic video game play revised scale and mindfulness attention awareness in addition to demographic characteristics sheet. Results: There was a highly statistically significant relation between low levels of highly engaged, problem gamers, and addicted gamers and high level of mindfulness. It is evident that game addiction increased with low level of mindfulness. After implementation of mindfulness training program, the majority of intervention group had high level of mindfulness compared to pre intervention. The statistical significant independent positive predictor of mindfulness attention awareness was the gaming addiction. Conclusion: The mindfulness training program had a positive effect on decreasing gaming addictive behavior among university students in intervention group. Recommendations: Dissemination of this mindfulness training program to other students in different faculties at Suez Canal University.

Abstract: Drug abuse is a rapidly growing global public health and social mayhem. Almost one out of every eight youth is a victim of drug abuse. Drug abuse is not strictly consumption of hard drugs like cocaine, marijuana etc. some over-the-counter drugs that contain caffeine, drugs that serve as analgesics and every other drug can be abused. This is because drug abuse is simply the wrong use of drugs. Hence, this study was carried out to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice of clinical students of COOU teaching hospital towards drug abuse.  This study employed the use of observational descriptive cross-sectional method and a self-structured questionnaire containing 28 close-ended questions was used to acquire data from all clinical students of COOU Teaching Hospital Awka. The data collected was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. From the result, it can be seen that 117 (79.6%) of the clinical students were considered to have a good knowledge about drug abuse with the sum of 13.87 ± 3.05. Cocaine was reported to be known in 100% of participants followed by tramadol and cough syrup respectively, while 59.2% of participants knew amphetamine. 65.9% of the clinical students believe that drug abuse can lead to death. 45.9% of them gain their knowledge from social media. 80.9% reported that drug abuse can lead to psychiatric problems. 72.8% think drug abuse is treatable. Also, 60.5% of the participants have poor attitudes toward drug abuse. 22.8% of the participants see that drug addicts are more criminal than the victims. 73 (49.7%) of the participants believe that drug abuse is a problem in COOU Teaching Hospital Awka, Anambra state, whereas 15 (10.2%) say that it is not. In the case of practice, 53 (36.1%) have good practice with a sum of 2.7 ± 1.33. 83 out of 144 clinical students (56.5%) read about drug abuse but only 21 clinical students (14.3%) participated in the treatment of drug abused patients before. Moreover, 37 (25.2%) participants advised abused patients. Using cross-tabulation and the Chi-square test, the association between knowledge, attitude, and practice with gender, age, level, and marital status were all studied. There was a significant association between gender and practice score (p = 0.044). Also, between level and with knowledge (p = < 0.001), attitude (p = 0.001) and practice scores (p = < 0.001). In conclusion, there is need to improve the dissemination of information on drug abuse as there is very poor attitude and practice towards drug abuse among the clinical students of COOU Teaching Hospital Awka.

Abstract: Cervical cancer continues to kill too many women worldwide, especially the poorest; a disease that is both preventable and treatable. The objective of this study is to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice of pap smear among female clinical medical students at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Anambra State. This study was carried out using a descriptive survey design on clinical medical students who are female at COOU in 2022. The inclusion criteria were clinical medical students who are female and are ready to respond to the questionnaire. The study participants were selected through a simple random sampling method. Data were collected via face-to-face interviews by one trained interviewer using a structured questionnaire. SPSS version 28.0 was used for data analysis and chi-square test to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes and practice. From the result, Greater percentage of the respondents believed that PAP smear is able to detect all the female genital cancer. 81 (72%) of the students also highlighted that PAP smear screening is very expensive. 69 (62%) of the participants explained that discomfort in the genital tract is one major reason for not having PAP smear. The student believes that lack of knowledge about the PAP smear is a likely reason for not having PAP smear. More than half of the participants are of the opinion that the negligence despite having knowledge about PAP smear is also another practice that would encourage not having PAP smear. The findings of this research show an immediate need to intervene to promote and encourage females to get PAP smears on a regular basis in order to detect cervical cancer at an early stage. Given that lack of knowledge and fear of test results are the most common reasons for women not going for PAP smear checks, doctors and other medical providers should view every contact with women as an opportunity to educate and motivate them to get regular Pap smears. In conclusion, there is need for more information to be circulated among the clinical medical students of COOU so as to improve their knowledge bank, practice and positive attitude towards pap smear.

Abstract: COVID-19 is a global public health issue that affected almost all countries of the world along with their enemies. The infection proved to be critical due to its mode of transmission and incubation period. This study was therefore carried out to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice on COVID-19 preventive guidelines. The study employed the use of face-to-face interview using a 20-item questionnaire. The sample size was calculated using Morgan’s table giving rise to 147 clinical students. Descriptive statistics were used to calculate frequencies and percentages using IBM SPSS 25. The study revealed that a great percentage of clinical students identify COVID-19 as a virus. 87% of the students that participated in the study agreed that COVID-19 causes change in taste or smell. About 93.2% were aware that COVID-19 is spread through close contact with an infected person while the remaining 6.8% said otherwise. The majority of the participants were aware that the incubation period of COVID-19 is between 3-21 days. The majority (76%) ascertained fever, cough and shortness of breath as common COVID-19 symptoms. The clinical students were aware that there was currently no viable treatment for COVID-19. About 10.9% were unaware that patients with underlying chronic illnesses are more susceptible to COVID-19. The study also found that majority of the respondents (78.9%) thought COVID-19 was a serious disease. Almost all respondents consented that wearing a facemask is critical for preventing the spread of COVID-19. Based on findings, it implies that although greater populations of clinical students of COOU have a positive attitude and ample knowledge on COVID-19, more effort should be put in disseminating proper information about the infection and also checkmating COVID-19 protocols among clinical students.

Abstract:  The prevalence of many communicable diseases in the modern day society has been a huge reason to worry for current and future health workers because they are at the forefront in the fight against these diseases. Hence, this study, to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice among clinical medical students of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka. The study population was all clinical medical students of the hospital during the study period with sample size of 147. The questionnaire pre-test was performed on 5% of the total sample size within the teaching hospital, which is assumed to have similar traits to the targeted population. The questionnaire divided into sections that are used to evaluate the following: socio-demographic characteristics, general knowledge of the participant, participant attitudes toward the use of facemasks, and facemasks use Practice on the behavioral factors that influence face mask use. The statistical software SPSS version 28.0 was used to calculate the frequencies and odds ratio. The result of the study showed that the respondents of this study had overall good knowledge regarding facemask use against COVID-19 infection. For knowledge, most of the participants on average got their source of information through the media (TV, Radio, social media), resources material, and the hospital. Considering the vaccine, it was observed based on the responses that a greater percentage of the clinical medical students have not been vaccinated against COVID-19. Majority of the respondents had various reasons for not wearing face masks whereas some wear it out of compliance to the rules of the hospital and not because they consider it necessary. It was also observed that some students do not properly handle the face mask. In conclusion, there is still a long way to go in the case of clinical medical students practice towards the use of face masks.

Abstract: Background: Paracetamol is widely used as a pain killer and antipyretic over-the-counter medications. It is usually safe; however, poisoning may happen due to lack of patient awareness of the dangers of paracetamol-containing medication leading to misuse. Objective: This study aimed in this study to assess the awareness about paracetamol toxicity and paracetamol-containing drugs among the public in Saudi Arabia. Methods: A cross‑sectional study was performed during educational campaign. It included a convenience sample using a self-administered questionnaire. Results: Out of 432 subjects, 50.69% were male. Of these, 56.2% reported damage to the internal organs such as the liver as the most common side effect of paracetamol. A low percentage of subjects were aware of compounds, such as Relaxon, Mol, and Parafon (19.4%, 18.1%, and 17.6% respectively). Although a majority of individuals (79.2%) accepted the fact that paracetamol could be toxic, only 18.7% of them were aware of the toxic dose. The female gender, the age group of 31 to 40 years and post graduate level of education reported a significantly higher knowledge score (p<0.001). Conclusion: We found an unsatisfactory level of awareness about paracetamol toxicity in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. Moreover, several individuals failed to recognize the presence of paracetamol in many analgesics.

Abstract: Emotional intelligence plays a key role in leadership effectiveness and might promote effectiveness at all levels in organizations. Effective leaders with high emotional intelligence might facilitate the individuals they lead to raise their own level of emotional intelligence, potentially resulting in a more effective organization overall and a better organizational climate. Aim of the study: assessing effect of emotional intelligence on the first-line nurse managers’ leadership effectiveness. Design: A descriptive correlational research design. Setting: Ain Shams University Hospitals. Subjects: (80) first-line nurse managers. Tools of data collection: Emotional intelligence questionnaire, and Leadership effectiveness questionnaire. Result: Majority of first-line nurse managers had low total emotional intelligence level and leadership ineffectiveness level. Additionally, there were highly statistically significance correlation between emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness score among first-line nurse managers. Conclusion:  The level of emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness was low among first-line nurse managers. Also, there was highly statistically significance correlation between total emotional intelligence score and total leadership effectiveness score Recommendations: developing training program that enhance emotional intelligence competencies, and improve leadership effectiveness for first-line nurse managers.

Abstract: Living with hemodialysis is associated with anxiety. Mandala coloring is a form of art therapy that fosters self-expression by allowing individuals to explore their anxiety, is a good and applicable choice. This study aims to explore the effect of mandala coloring nurse-led intervention program on anxiety among hemodialysis patients. Research design: Experimental design was used. Setting: The study was conducted at Hemodialysis Unit affiliated to Suez Canal University Hospital and the international 30 July center, Ismailia governorate. Subject: A sample of 64 Hemodialysis patients with chronic hemodialysis, shunt in non-dominant hands, and without antianxiety or antidepressant medications. Tools of data collection: Two tools were used: Tool(I): Demographic characteristics and clinical characteristics. Tool (II): Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Adults, Form. Results: It was found that hemodialysis patients had a moderate level of state anxiety before the intervention. Regarding post and follow-up phases, the levels of anxiety decreased increased among the intervention group compared with the control group. Conclusion: The mandala coloring nurse-led intervention program significantly reduced anxiety among hemodialysis patients in the post-follow-up study phases compared with the pre-program phase. Recommendation: Mandala coloring nurse-led intervention programs can be combined with care programs of hospitals as a complementary intervention.

Abstract: As coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) spreads across the world, the intensive care units must be prepared for the challenges associated with this pandemic. This pandemic has highlighted that the ICU must have a emergency care delivery model which includes strategic reserves of PPE, ICU devices  ,pharmaceuticals as well as effective supply chain  and utilization of the protocols. Pre-existing protocols for the Care of ICU devices should be revised and updated time to time. Regular training should be provided to the health care workers about decontamination and disinfection sterilization of covid ICU devices so as to keep them updated more over these practices also reduce cross infections in the ICUs. The training of staff on infection control practices and care of ICU devices reduces the infection rate among HCWs and patients significantly.

Abstract: Telenursing is a type of telemedicine that involves using technology to provide continuous care to patients with chronic illnesses. Aims: to assess and determine the impact of telenursing services to enhance continuous monitoring of elderly patients' care during a covid-19 pandemic. Design: Semi-experimental research design were used by the researchers on 60 discharged elderly patients, and their caregivers. Setting: The respondents in the study are elderly patients of both gender from King Fahad Special Hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Subjects: Patients select according to readmission rate over one time during the last two months, elderly patients how’s have a chronic disease and agree to participate (N=60).Tools: Three tools were used in the study; structured questionnaire to assess of patients’ caregivers’ knowledge and practice regarding diseases, Zarit Burden Inventory (ZBI), to assess the personal stress among caregivers, and self-efficacy scale for chronic disease management. Results: There were significant differences between pre and post application of telenursing in terms of the caregiver's overall amount of knowledge and practice in the care of the older people. Conclusion: telenursing is an effective caring technique for ensuring continuity of care for elderly patients with chronic diseases during discharge during COVID-19.

Abstract: ¹Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a group of genetic disorders: NF1, NF2 and schwannomatosis (shwon-oh-ma-toe-sis).NF1 (also known as von Recklinghausen disease) is the most common type, with a  prevalence of 2.500 to 3.000 .NF1 is a variable disorder, which means that it can affect children in many different ways. It usually causes freckles or spots, most often on the skin or eyes, and benign (not cancer) swelling or lumps around the nerves. Many children with NF1 have no or very few medical problems, but about four in 10 children will have some complications. Treatment for NF1 depends on the medical problems your child develops.NF1 is something you are born with, and it is not contagious. Some of the signs of NF1 do not appear until later in life, often around puberty.    in such current case I faced here two unusual associating disorders with NF1- according to many references I just reviewed- presented in form of (almost rare) hair disorder called trichothiodystrophy (TTDY) and the other one is a rare ophthalmological problem presented as a retinal atrophy (which I will not focus in it so deep)  that  motivated me to present such interesting case.

Abstract:  The National Population Commission (2017) had indicated increasing growth in the population of Rivers State from 5,198,716 in 2006 to 7,034,973 in 2017. According to the commission two third of the total population dwell in the hard to reach areas ,and most of the community members hardly interface with health care workers throughout the year. The health care delivery system therefore direly need the support of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the health care facilities and in the rural communities and hard to reach remote areas in order to bring health care delivery to vulnerable dwellers .Information and Communication Technology at hard to reach communities in Rivers state was an important health support system to the health care needs of people living in distant areas, oceanic communities, and hard to reach areas in providing health care pathways or providing best evidence-based care when users are at distant places or location. The level of neglect on the people living in these areas had been gross; uncountable numbers had suffered morbidity; while others had suffered mortality. To carry out the research, 353 respondents were drawn from health institutions through systematic random sampling procedure in Rivers state through the instrumentation of Yaro Yamen’s sampling procedure. The data obtained from the respondents were measured, and analyzed using various parameters. The descriptive research design was used through a structured questionnaire. Various measurement variables were used to test the validity, reliability and consistency of the instruments such as the face, and content validity; percentages, mean and the measure of variability; and the Likert’s Response scale were applied to test the consistency. Studies found out that the level of application of ICT to the communities by governmental agencies, cooperate bodies, and Non –Governmental bodies on tele-health performance had been low. The study had increased the awareness level of stakeholders, the government, private investors, individuals and the level of preparedness to fund the capacities and competencies of health care workers within its specified scope and achievable time frame had been enhanced.

Abstract: Compliance with current events in health information systems in government-owned hospitals is a major concern, documentation of patient records is still done manually, leading to medical errors, unnecessary waiting, and miss of patient records. Challenges affecting compliance are too numerous. During covid 19 lockdown, many preventable conditions claimed lives because health workers were avoiding to people in attendance, the problem would have been avoided if they complied with the modern technologies that would allow attending to patients from distance.  The total population used for the study was 2,391(Two thousand three hundred and ninety-one) health workers from 13 (thirteen) hospitals comprising; teaching hospitals, specialist hospitals, hospital management boards, and general hospitals, from government-owned secondary and tertiary hospitals. The study was carried out between April to November 2022. The research design used was a descriptive survey as well as an experimental study. A cross-sectional analysis of health workers was interviewed using a well-structured and pretested questionnaire. The sample of the study was 342 health workers. The researcher adopted a Systematic random sampling technique in getting a response from respondents. Findings in Table 4.22, reviewed some challenges delaying compliance with health information contemporary. lack of Modern Technology (87, 24.5%) was identified as the highest challenge affecting the compliance of Health Information System current trends in hospitals in Imo State. Others following Mobile Technology are technical data integration (58, 21.7%), Adaptation (52, 14.6%), political instability (47, 13.2%), and poor data quality (46, 13.0%). Data were analyzed using SPSS, one-way ANOVA, and p-test to test hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. In conclusion, health information contemporary is yet to be fully implemented in Imo state and sother states in Nigeria. Recommendation, the government should not politicize healthcare institutions, funding and periodic monitoring and evaluation will help in actualizing full compliance.

Abstract: Motivation to learn and competency self-efficacy(CSE) are two of the most influential factors that affect nursing students academic performance and clinical success. Aim: Investigate the relationship between nursing students' motivation to learn and their competency self-efficacy. Study design: A descriptive correlational research design was utilized to conduct this study. Setting:  in 6 schools (3 female- 3male) out of 19 Secondary Nursing Technical Schools in Kafr El-Shikh governorate. Subjects: included Nursing Students in the previously selected settings (n=278) (134 female and 144 male). Tools: Two tools were used to conduct this study: Motivation to learn questionnaire and Nursing competency self-efficacy scale (NCSE). Results: The finding of this study revealed that the vast majority of the studied nursing students had high  level of motivation to learn and nursing students had high  level of competency self-efficacy. Conclusion: There was high levels of nursing students’ motivation to learn and high levels of competency self-efficacy (CSE). A statistically significant relationship was noticed between motivation to learn and competency self-efficacy. Recommendations: Develop strategies to motivate nursing students to learn and improve their competency self-efficacy.

Abstract: Workplace incivility behaviors poisoning the organizational climate disrupts the working harmony of health care team and impairs interprofessional communication and collaboration. Aim: To examine the relationship between workplace place incivility behaviors and nurses' intention to share knowledge at Itay El-Baroud General Hospital.  Methods: A descriptive, correlational research design was utilized in all inpatient medical, surgical and critical care units  at Itay El-Baroud General hospital, El-Beheira, Egypt, for all head nurses and their assistants and staff nurses. Tools: two tools were used: Tool Ι: Nursing Incivility Scale (NIS) and a demographic characteristics data sheet; Tool Π: Intention to Share Knowledge Questionnaire.  Results: staff nurses got moderate mean percent score for both workplace incivility and intention to share knowledge.  Moreover, the first source of incivility was general environment; and the last one was patient/visitor. Whereas; the first dimension for nurses’ intention to share knowledge was attitude toward knowledge sharing, and the last dimension was anticipated extrinsic rewards. Conclusion: There are negative highly significant correlations between total workplace incivility behaviors and all its dimensions and total nurses’ intention to share knowledge and all its dimensions. Recommendations: Develop and disseminate workplace incivility policy; develop positive workplace culture; and provide incentives and rewards.

Abstract: Nursing models allow nurses attention to nursing work and its applications relatively more than medical practice. Furthermore, it promotes systematic, purposeful, controlled, and patient-satisfaction satisfaction care. Roy Adaptation Model is one of the most widely used models in nursing. Nursing's goal, according to the Roy adaptation model, is to increase regulatory and life expectancy. The Roy Adaptation Model assesses the patient in four modes: physiologic, self-concept, role function, and interdependence, with the goal of providing holistic care. This article describes the application of Roy’s adaptation Model in the treatment of a patient who was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent breast-conserving surgery. The Appropriate theoretical model's four methods (physiologic, self-concept, and behavioral) were used to evaluate patient data.
