Abstract: This paper presents the idea about progressive Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in hi tech stores. RFID is wireless non-contact system that uses radio frequency wave to transfer data from tag attached to an object, for automatic identification and tracking. In this era of digitization, automated systems have become the face of technologies. Supermarkets are nowadays frequented by millions of people for the acquisition of an enlarging number of products. Product acquisition represents a complex process that comprises time spent in finding product location, corridors, packaging, bill generation and check out queues. The present automated system is based on barcode system, but barcodes provide less security. These are the current drawbacks faced by the hi-tech stores. Through this paper we convey that RFID is a way to improve the quality of services provided by retailer and to augment the consumer value thus allowing to save time and money.

Abstract: To address controls of conventional current control mode (CCM) and voltage control mode (VCM) operations. An improved performance connected distribution static compensator (DSTATCOM) has been used. The proposed interactive scheme  arrange smooth change  of modes of  operation  while  remaining connected in distribution system .In normal operation ,the DSTATCOM operates in CCM to make supply currents balanced ,sinusoidal, and at unity power factor. During voltage disturbances, the CCM operation cannot improve the load voltage. In that  case, DSTATCOM operation is changed to VCM which  maintaining a constant voltage crosswise  the sensitive loads .Hence ,this  interactive DSTATCOM ensure continues, flexible, and  powerful  operation of the load. Also, the filter current  needs are reduced  in  proposed scheme which decreases  the losses in filter and feeder, increases inverter efficiency ,and requires reduced rating inverter  for  sag mitigation. This operation and control for both the operating mode are analyzed. The detailed process of the flexible transfer between the two mode is derived. Deadbeat predictive control algorithms for CCM as well as VCM operation are developed for quick operation during mode transfers. The performances of proposed scheme are validated by both simulation and experimental result.

Abstract: This paper proposes on dc based open energy system using the alternative way of exchange the intermittent energy between houses in local community. In parallel process to the software, we made a physical model of four node open energy system (OES) on which different power strategies can be simulated and compared. Each houses is equipped with a dc nanogrid, including photovoltaic panels and batteries. Energy storage can enhance the system response by providing short-term energy sources. The outputs of those distributed generations are connected to a dc distribution line, and the power from generations can be shared among residences. We constructed a small scale experimental system in our laboratory, and examined the fundamental characteristics of dc micro grid. The innovative idea is to move beyond the current concept of smart grids proposing a new architecture whose main advantages are explained. In this way of, demand response fluctuations are absorbed not only by the local battery, but can be spread over all batteries in the system. The concepts feasibility has been demonstrated on the first three houses of a full scale OES.

Abstract:The Line follower robot is a mobile machine that can detect and follow the line drawn on the floor. Generally, the path is predefined and can be either visible like a white line on a black surface. Therefore, this kind of Robot should sense the line with its Infrared Ray (IR) sensors that installed under the robot. After that, the data is transmitted to the processor by specific transition buses. Hence, the processor is going to decide the proper commands and then it sends them to the driver and thus the path will be followed by the line follower robot.

Abstract: The project is designed to shut down a power supply when it is overloaded by using a super-fast electronic circuit breaker. The concept of electronic circuit breaker came into focus realizing that the conventional circuit breakers such as MCBs take longer time to trip. Therefore, for sensitive loads, it is very important to activate a tripping mechanism at the shortest possible time, preferably instantaneously. The electronic circuit breaker is based on the voltage drop across a series element proportional to the load current, typically a low-value resistor. This voltage is sensed and rectified to DC, and then is compared with a preset voltage by a level comparator to generate an output that drives a relay through the MOSFET to trip the load. The relay use in place of a semiconductor switch is preferred because such solid state switches would invariably fail in case of accidental short circuits. A circuit breaker is automatic operated switch designed to shut down the power supply when overloaded. The tripping depends on the current passing through the CT’s which is connected in series with load. It uses the PIC- microcontroller into which program is dumped for the operation. The unit is extremely fast and over comes the drawback of thermal type circuit breaker like MCB based on a thermal bimetal lever-trip mechanism which is very slow.

Abstract: This paper presents a Dynamic programming based an algorithm to solve the Unit Commitment problem accounting voltage stability consideration and inequality constraints. In the present electricity environment, where power demands are in its peak, it has become very difficult for operators to fulfil the demand. There are many conventional and evolutionary programming techniques used for solving the unit commitment (UC) problem. Dynamic programming is conventional algorithm used to solve the deterministic problem. The developed algorithm has been implemented on IEEE-14 bus system. The results obtained from this technique was validated with the available techniques and outcome found satisfactory. The commitment in such a way that total cost of generation is reduced to minimum.

Abstract: The study presents a detailed design study of the new briquetting machine. Briquetting of the carbonized agricultural residues represents one of the possible solutions to the local energy shortages in many developing countries.Briquetting of the carbonized agricultural residues represents one of the possible solutions to the local energy shortages in many developing countries. It constitutes a positive solution to the problem of increasing rates of desertification in many areas worldwide.  The production cost was found to be lower due to the lower binder requirement for the new machine, which is lower by about 65%. The initial moisture content of the feed stock required for this machine is lower by about 30 % compared to the best alternative, which results in shorter drying time for the fuel briquettes produced. The quality of the produced briquettes was found to be better and of lower smoke generation when burned due to the lower binder content. The local Sudanese briquetting experience was overviewed, studying all the alternative available options and the market potential.

Abstract: This review paper present the comparative study between the various methods of transient stability assessment and also investigate the various technique used to study transient response of power system.

Abstract: The investigation of the effects of changing the inlet air temperature on servo pneumatic system is experimentally demonstrated. The work studies the effects by heating the compressed air before it enters the system and measures different variables and the studies the effect of changing the inlet air temperature on it   The cylinder used has a piston diameter of (50mm), rod diameter (20mm) and a stroke length of (200mm). The results shows a delay in the piston stoke up to (2.23%) and a pressure drop up to (2.26%) when the compressed air was heated to (343⁰K).

Abstract: This paper shows an analysis of the effect of three phase to ground fault on the transient stability for the enhancement of power system using Mi-Power. In this circuit there are 5 bus, 2 single phase transformer, 3 single phase generator and 2 load are connected to different buses. During this condition very high current flow through the system which damages the equipment. It also causes interruption to the supply provided to the customers. Initially load flow is done to obtain the power flow in the complete system which is followed by transient stability studies.  In this paper transient stability studies is done in order to protect overhead transmission line, conductors and insulators, it is suggested that the faulted part to be isolated rapidly from rest of the system so as to increase stability margin and hence decrease damage.
