Abstract:This paper addresses the problem of job effectiveness among teachers in junior secondary schools in Bayelsa State. The paper provides an in-depth explanation of the concept drawing upon established definitions and analysis of the term from scholars and practitioners in the field. Similar and related construct such as job performance and productivity were adequately examined and their relationship with teaching effectiveness explored. The paper provided a robust presentation of pertinent characteristics of effective teaching under four clusters of professionalism, thinking/reasoning, expectations and leadership. Strategies for the measurement of teachers’ effectiveness were stated including students rating, peer rating, self-evaluation, and principals ratings. Some factors influencing teaching effectiveness such as professional qualification, teaching experience, school facilities, teaching aid and remuneration were discussed. The paper recommended suggesting possible strategies for the improvement of teaching effectiveness.

Abstract:With the current ubiquity of computing technology and the internet, many students are using online translation software tools such as Google Translate during the essay writing process. Online translation software is powerful, but it is prone to over-literal translation, and cannot account for context in the same way as a human translator. This leaves students at the mercy of a tool which offers the promise of needing only to think and write in their native language while Google Translate ‘does the hard work’ for them. Using focus group discussions in a private university in Jakarta, Indonesia, this research seeks to find out the extent to which students rely on the technology at their disposal, and whether they believe that its usage constitutes cheating.

Abstract:The aims of the research: first the effect of teacher pedagogical competence on students learning achievement, second the effect of teacher pedagogical competence on student learning achievement, third the effect of learning facilities on student achievement and the last the effect of teacher pedagogic competence on learning facilities.  It is conducted  to the teachers Elementary school in the Cisarua District of Bogor. The population of the research is 683 teachers while the sample is 106, it is taken by using purposive random sampling technique. The research method using path analysis. The results of research there are effect teachers pedagogical competence and learning facilities on students learning achievement.

Abstract:This research is to determine about: firstly the influence of school principal’s leadership style and work environment on teacher job satisfaction, secondly the influence of principals' leadership styles on teacher job satisfaction, and thirdly the influence of work environment on teacher job satisfaction. The population in this research was the teacher of Depok City High School with a sample of 85 respondents taken by random sampling technique. The method of this research use path analysis. The results of this research indicate that the principal's leadership and work environment partially influence on teacher job satisfaction, which means that the principal's leadership style and work environment have a direct influence on teacher job satisfaction. Because of the principal's leadership style has a partial effect on teacher job satisfaction. Furthermore, because the work environment does not affect teacher job satisfaction, the principal's leadership and work environment do not have an indirect effect on teacher job satisfaction.

Abstract:Geography provides opportunities for students to develop their general intellectual capacity for life-long learning, skills such as critical thinking, communication, information processing, problem solving, and decision-making. There has been lower performance in Geography compared to other subjects such as Religious Education and History in National Examination in Rarieda Sub County.. The main purpose of the study was to explore the relationship between the Geography Curriculum the teacher underwent and the students’ academic achievement. Ex-post facto research design and a Conceptual framework were employed in the study. The target population was 76 Geography teachers, 44 heads of humanities department, 44 principals and 750 form 4 Geography students from the 44 public secondary schools. The sample size was 276 respondents which constituted 23 Geography teachers, 14 Principals and 14 Heads of Departments in Humanities and 225 form 4 Geography students. Cluster sampling procedure was used to sample 14 schools for the actual study. Simple random sampling technique was used to sample the respondents for the study. Questionnaires, interview schedules and document analysis  were employed to collect data. Validity of the instruments was ascertained by the research experts (supervisors). Reliability of the instruments was established by piloting in 5 secondary schools using test –retest technique. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze quantitative data while qualitative data was done through thematic analysis. The study found out that there was no relationship between the Geography curriculum the teacher underwent and students’ academic achievement in Geography. It was concluded that Teacher education and training affect the students ‘performance to a greater extent. The study recommended that the ministry of education should incorporate new paradigm shift in the pre service training of the teachers. The Teachers Service Commission to conduct mandatory sponsored Continuing Teacher Professional Development on regular basis. A study on influence of teachers’ educational background on learners’ enrolment in Geography in Kenya Certificate of secondary education examination would expound the current study.

Abstract:Mathematical problems posing is an approach of learning that have less attention by teachers to apply to the students. This survey aims to identify the level of abilities to pose problems in mathematics by form 4 students by using the strategy of "What If Not" (WIN) and identify the types of problems generated by students. Simple random sampling technique were used to select the respondents. Respondents consisted of 35 form 4 students from a school in Kuala Lumpur. Mathematical problems posing test was used as an instrument and students need to use WIN strategies to generate new mathematical problems. Four levels of students’ generation mathematical problems had been measured (featured properties, manipulate properties, generate new problems, solve new problem). The findings were analysed by using descriptive statistics, which is frequency and percentage. Findings of the study shows that the students’ abilities in posing mathematical problems are higher but there is no quality in new problems posed by them. For the types of problems generated by the students, the findings showed 74% of students choose to change the number as compared to other methods. Students are more likely to change the number to generate new problems as a result of manipulative attitude. The mathematical problems posing is an acceptable learning strategy by students although it’s a new thing for them. Teachers need to evaluate and plan the use of the problem posing in the classroom as well as other teaching methods.

Abstract:Self-concept, learning environment, and achievement are interrelated with in describing student abilities in algebraic mathematics. By observing these three aspects, the purpose of this study is to determine the influence of self-concept and learning environment towards the achievement of algebra in the matriculation college.  The findings from this study show that there is a moderate positive relationship between the self-concept and the achievement of student algebra (r = 0.393, p <0.05), while there is no significant relationship between learning environment and algebraic achievement(r = 0.142, p>0.05). It is show that male students have better level of self-concept, more influence by learning environment and have a better level of achievement than women. This can be seen from the result of the study which male student has a higher score on all variables studied. Even though, the min score of male student are higher, there is no significant difference between the student's learning environment and gender. Regression test shows that self-concept is the best predictor of algebraic achievement. However, with only 14.5% of self - concept influencing the achievement of algebra, it can be concluded that self - concept alone is not the only factor affecting achievement. It is hoped that, this study will help teachers to get the idea in teaching and learning to enhance students' self-concept as well as positive learning environments and to improve student achievement in algebra.

Abstract:Over the time the impact of cross-cultural leadership on manager’s performance in Nigerian.  The study used a sample of 200 for the cultural leadership on manager’s performance in Nigeria.  The total simple size was 200 populations as a part of this research and the statistical package for social science (spss) was used to carry out the analysis.  Data were analyzed using the regression of the correlation to the analysis.  Data were analyzed using the regression of the correlation to own the t-test hypotheses.  The findings of the study showed that there exists a positive relationship between cross-cultural leadership on manager’s performance in Nigeria.

Abstract:The aim of this study is to demonstrate a development process of male childcare workers in terms of post-structuralism. Against previous study of Aono (2012)’s thesis that “As male childcare workers experience their jobs more, they become to consider their job and sex separately”, I conclude that it is impossible to separate sex and job in society which people are asked to be male or female but no other gender, by discerning the context of notable scholars such as Simone-de-Beauvoir and Judith Butler.
As a result of the study, it is found out that male childcare workers read a difference between female childcare workers and them by sex, and they label the difference as what they don’t have and absorb it. Starting off with structuring male sex, male childcare workers obtain androgynous through cooperating with females. This mechanism is concluded as the development process of male child care workers. Thus, while Aono (2012)’s study points out “sex does not matter”, this study demonstrates new perspective that male childcare workers absorb good point from different sex based on their original sex.

Abstract:Introduction: Vaccination is a cornerstone of health promotion strategy. Nurses have a crucial role in vaccination process that includes health education activity. The knowledge of nurses regarding vaccination issues and their ability to transform important key messages about childhood vaccination will significantly influence the vaccination coverage. A health education protocol will ensure the standardization of the delivered key messages in a proper way. The feedback of protocol users about its applicability is important for strengthening the using sustainability. Aim of the study: The study aimed at exploring the applicability of “childhood vaccination health education protocol” for nurses in primary health care. Research Design: Cross sectional study, design was used to accomplish this study. Setting:  The study was carried out at 14 primary healthcare facilities at Mansour district, Dakahlia Governorate. Subjects and Sampling: The study recruited by using convenience sampling technique of 205 nurses working at the selected primary healthcare facilities and 383 mothers of children who receiving vaccination. Data Collection: Data was collected through: 1- Structured self- administered questionnaires for assessing the demographic and occupational characteristics of nurses as well as their knowledge and learning needs about vaccination health education. 2- Structured interview for assessing the mothers’ knowledge and learning needs about vaccination and their role in the vaccination process. 3- Vaccination health education protocol applicability checklist for obtaining the opinion of nurses regarding the applicability of this developed protocol. Results: The study revealed insufficient knowledge among nurses regarding topics of childhood vaccination health education and the principles of effective health education. Mothers showed lacking of knowledge regarding most of vaccination issues and their role in vaccination process. The “Childhood vaccination health education protocol” was developed based on the learning needs of nurses and mothers. Nurses found many items of the protocol content not applicable because of high burden of workload during vaccination sessions, in adequate knowledge of nurses about components of vaccination health education. Conclusion and recommendations: The study concluded that although nurses and mothers showed inadequate knowledge regarding the essential vaccination health education topics, nurses mentioned that many items of the developed protocol are not applicable. Nurses indicated that limited time and lack of resources are the main reasons of the infeasibility of several items of the vaccination health education protocol.  The study recommended the necessity of disseminating the designed protocol for the authorized directorates in the Ministry of Health and population and conducting staff development program for nurses on vaccination health education. Abstract:The use of educational technology immersed rapidly in higher institutions. Learning Management System (LMS) is one the most popular educational technology system used in learning process. This study sought to identify the students’ perceived usefulness of using KALAM and to determine the significant differences between genders with respect to their perceived usefulness of using KALAM in language learning. Data from online questionnaires were collected from 90 respondents who took English course. This study used descriptive and inferential (t-test) statistics to analysis the data. Hence, the findings proved that students’ perception on the usefulness of KALAM in language learning was positive. Several implications of these findings were also discussed.

Abstract:Malaysia is unique within the Islamic world in developing a motor car industry that is geared towards both internal and export markets. After achieving initial success, its export performance has failed to match that of its international competitors. The main goal of this research is to uncover the factors that are suspected to contribute to this failure which is in the technology and styling of its models.
