Abstract: The research was conducted in North and West Kordofan States to model and assess efficiency of gum arabic harvester. Field measurement at Nawa site was conducted where gum from 120 hashab trees were harvested by the harvester and 40 hashab trees were harvested by hand. Tree growth attributes were measured. Stop watch was used to control picking time. Gum fall-in and gum fall-out of the harvester was counted and weighted. Microsoft Excel. Mathematical models were experienced where variables of performance and efficiency were tested. The results showed that harvester theoretical material capacity was higher than hand theoretical capacity by107 gum nodule/h, harvester effective material capacity was also higher than hand effective material capacity by 96 nodules/h, collection efficiency of harvester was higher than that of hand by 1.6 % and time efficiency of harvester was higher than that of hand by 3.3 %. The results showed highly significant correlation (P≤0.01) between nodules fall in harvester and picking time and also between number of branches and picking time. The research concluded that gum arabic harvester is efficient in terms of time, speed, safety and gum quality according to 72.7% of users. The study recommended use of the harvester instead of harmful hand collection method. It also recommended further research focusing on invention and intermediate technology for harvesting and postharvest of gum Arabic production.

This is because, they are the people who measure the level of performance that lead to customer satisfaction and increase the building occupancy rate.   A   quality,   comfort,   healthy   and   safe   building   will   definitely attract the building users and this will influence the supply and demand of building stock. In addition, building performance is also related to business environment for organizations to achieve their objectives, productivity and increase their   profit   margin   annually   by focusing on the   internal   and   external customer perceptions. Building performance has a strong bond within end users of building because they are people that can give proper performance measurement that project the level of customer satisfaction, hence, enhance the occupancy rate of the building. A healthy, comfort and quality cum safe building will usually entice end users thereby create a significant impact on the demand and supply of building. The paper examined the influence of project management factors (Project Manager and Team Members’ Competency and project related factors), and mediating effect of ethical standard practice on building performance in Nigeria. The study is descriptive research that employing the survey method. Hence, the use of close ended questionnaire survey was distributed electronically. A total number of 375 questionnaires were selected using the stratified random sampling technique which include; Builders, Surveyors, Civil engineers and Town planners within Lagos state of Nigeria. Data collected were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The study found that project manager and team members' competency significantly influence building performance, along with project-related factors. Ethical standards also mediate the relationship between competency and building performance. However, ethical standards do not have significant mediating effects on the relationship between project management factors and building performance. It was therefore recommended that Organizations should prioritize improving competency through training and focus on project-related factors while emphasizing ethical standard practices in the construction industry.

Abstract: An attempt has been made in this study to estimate the grain sizes and statistical parameters of aquifer sediments, in parts of Bayelsa State, South-South Nigeria. Precise measurement of statistical parameters of sediments is a vital and significant factor for the comparative evaluation of sedimentary depositional environment. Particle size analysis is a vital tool for the determination of the cost, quality and performance of aggregates for several economic purposes, such as in the construction, hospitality, agricultural industrial and of course in ground water resource management. Particle size distribution parameters were determined through conventional sieve analysis, the graphical method for obtaining statistical parameters was mployed in this study. Sieve analysis is the process of measuring the particle size distribution of unbound sediments, it is a less costly and simple to access process. The resulting cumulative frequency distribution curves are continuous with only a single mode value, indicating that all the samples in the study are evidently homogeneous at their specific sites. The coefficient of uniformity (η) evaluated ranges from 2.81 to 5.6 for samples 1 and 3 respectively, while the porosity values estimated ranges from 0.34 (34%) to 0.43 (43%) for samples 2 and 4 respectively. The study indicated that the samples have average grain sizes ranging from 0.37 to 0.95 mm (average 0.60 mm), which were shown to be well graded. The inclusive graphic kurtosis of the sediment  grains ranges from 0.12 – 1.5 (average 0.59), occupying sediments that are very platykurtic (very deficiently peaked) being less than 0.67 to  mesokurtic and leptokurtic or excessively peaked (relatively better sorted in the central parts than in the tails).

Abstract: In this paper, based on Jumarie type of Riemann-Liouville (R-L) fractional derivative and a new multiplication of fractional analytic functions, the fractional differential problem of four types of fractional trigonometric functions is studied. We can obtain fractional derivative of any order of these four types of fractional trigonometric functions by using fractional geometric series. Moreover, our results are generalizations of traditional calculus results.
